Making of the TV Ad
Paul Haines Director of Gift Product Development and Far East Operations for Carte Blanche Ltd has seen Tatty Teddy in motion in his mind's eye for more than 10 years now; in fact ever since he designed and produced the very first Tatty Teddy soft toy from the established range of 'Me to You' greetings cards.
There had never been any question in his mind that Stop-Frame would be the right medium for Tatty Teddy.
Various Furs for Puppet Test
The humble beginnings of the Tatty Teddy stop frame puppet started with the creation of a very basic puppet
Initial test armature
The animation company ScaryCat Studio then began by developing an initial test armature
Initial test shoot
From that we modified the armature with a few ball and socket joints, created a moveable spine, neck and muzzle
